Flavorah Concentrates for Cakes, Cupcakes, and Cookies
Flavorah concentrates are heat-stable and designed to hold up through baking without losing flavor intensity. Because they are roughly 2x more potent than standard extracts, you need very little product to transform your baked goods with bold, authentic flavor.
Recommended Usage Rates
- Cakes and cupcakes: 0.25-0.75% by weight of batter (typical 0.5%)
- Cookies: 0.25-0.75% by weight of dough (typical 0.5%)
- For a standard cake recipe, this is approximately 3-8 drops per cup of batter
Technique
Add Flavorah concentrate with your wet ingredients during the mixing stage. This ensures even distribution throughout the batter or dough before dry ingredients are folded in. For layered flavor, you can also add a smaller amount to the batter and a complementary flavor to the frosting.
Recipe Ideas
- Strawberry vanilla cupcakes: add Flavorah Rich Strawberry at 0.5% to vanilla cupcake batter, top with vanilla buttercream
- Lemon sugar cookies: add Flavorah Lemon at 0.3% to sugar cookie dough for a bright citrus note
- Double chocolate cake: add Flavorah Milk Chocolate at 0.5% to chocolate cake batter for deeper cocoa richness
- Banana bread cookies: blend Flavorah Banana and Flavorah Cinnamon at 0.25% each in cookie dough
Start with the lower end of the recommended range and bake a test batch. Flavorah is highly potent and over-flavoring is the most common mistake.
